Stainless steel self-drilling screws are classified into 304 stainless steel self-drilling screws, 410 stainless steel self-drilling screws, and 316 stainless steel self-drilling screws.


One, 304 self-drilling screws


304 stainless steel belongs to austenitic stainless steel. This stainless steel is non-magnetic under normal conditions and slightly magnetic after cold working; it can maintain its austenitic structure at various temperatures without phase transformation. Therefore, the hardening process cannot be performed by heat treatment. Cold work can be used to increase the strength while being hardened. Two, 410 self-drilling screws


410 material (namely 1Cr13) is a kind of martensitic stainless steel; contrary to austenite, it is magnetic; therefore, it is wrong to use iron magnets to determine whether the drill screws you buy are made of stainless steel. The main feature of 410 stainless steel self-drilling screws is that the core hardness and surface hardness of self-drilling screws can be improved by heat treatment; the comprehensive mechanical properties are also very high; but compared with 304 and 302 in terms of corrosion resistance, they are lacking. The self-drilling screw of 410 material does not require pre-drilling as the 304 material, and can directly penetrate the iron plate, but its corrosion resistance is not high, so avoid using it under strong acid, humidity and other perishable environments: 1 Direct contact with rain; 2 is not suitable for strong acids and alkalis; 3 is not suitable for environments with high climate and humidity; 4 is not suitable for seaside; 5 is not suitable for nearby chemical factories. If you want to use it, it must be treated with rust prevention, such as metal surface treatment such as dacromet or rust resistant treasure, otherwise it cannot be used directly.
